Welcome to Venture Vets

Warm hearts for cold noses.

Premium veterinary care for your pet and you.

Complete Care

We pride ourselves on providing complete care to all our patients. From the moment they walk in the door, to the moment they leave and even beyond this. We ensure our clients leave happy and with piece of mind, and the animals leave with the absolute best care. Supplying the best and up to date medicine, the animals and clients are always sent home with the necessary products to ensure the clients are doing everything they can for their beloved pet. If your pet is in clinic for surgery, we are always sure to provide post-operative pain relief, a service that not all practices provide. Care here doesn’t end at the clinic door.

Animal Focused

Here at Venture Vets our main focus is always the animals and providing them with great care, the best medicine and making them feel at ease when they come to the clinic. With a gentle approach and peaceful atmosphere, we pride ourselves on the fact that the animals will feel comfortable here, and will build a good relationship with the team, especially the vet. They may even get a treat to make their visit and future visits that much better.

Continuity of Care

All too often when you take your pet to the vet, you don’t know which vet you will see, and it may be a different person each time. Here at Venture Vets we strive to ensure you always see the same person each time, ensuring your pet will build a relationship with the vet, making each visit that much easier. Anna is passionate about ensuring your pets feel safe, secure and happy. All animals have a special place, so our family and yours work together for the best experience for your pet.

Anna has a life-long passion for animal well-being and like many of her team shares her home with many creatures - livestock, ponies, cats and dogs to name a few.  Anna studied at Massey University, graduating in 1995 to go on to work as a veterinarian in practices in and around the Horowhenua.  Anna then spent time as a Vet in the UK and before returning to New Zealand and the region.

Before opening Venture Vets in November 2018, Anna was one of the senior veterinarians at HUHA’s Stokes Valley clinic gaining direct insight into the valuable and rewarding work the charity performs on an on-going basis.  Anna has returned to Levin to offer a boutique family clinic where you can bring your treasured pets.

I have worked as a veterinary nurse in the Horowhenua region since graduating from UCOL in 2001 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.  I’ve worked alongside Anna and Lynda since starting my career.  I love coming to work because it’s my life’s passion is to care for animals and educate people to care properly for theirs.

I came from a farming background in Taihape where I discovered my passion and love for animals.  I have been a veterinary nurse for over 30 years.  During my career I have had the opportunity work with exotic species at Wellington Zoo, MAF and DOC.  I’ve been in the Horowhenua area since 1999, working alongside both Anna and Torlena and continue to enjoy every aspect of my nursing role.

Hi, I’m one half of the amazing reception team here at Venture Vets.  Before Joining the clinic I spent 4 years in a café manager role.  When the opportunity arose to join the team at Venture Vets I jumped at the chance.  Combining my passion for customer service and working around animals all day makes the job even more rewarding.  Working alongside the rest of our amazing team and the bright and positive atmosphere in the clinic makes every day fun.  We look forward to welcoming you and your fur babies soon.

I’m the other half of the fabulous reception team here at Venture Vets.  From a young age I had wanted to work in a veterinary clinic as I had such a strong love and passion for animals.  I have always worked in customer service roles and prior to joining I worked alongside Anna and Torlena in another busy local veterinary practice.  When the opportunity was presented to me to work with the ladies again, along with Lynda and Charlotte, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse.  I love working with my Venture Vets family.
